Fast Fact: It is estimated that 42 million Americans will travel during Memorial Day this year.
The Season For Family Road Trips Is Just Around The Corner
Upon the arrival of the summer, planning a road trip is a priority task for many families. When it comes to planning a road trip, preparing list of things you should pack is exceptionally important. These items included on my list are not only useful, but often times are forgotten.
The Perfect Items To Not Forget When On A Road Trip With Your Kids:
What To Pack For A Road Trip
1. Plenty of drinking water and snacks
The most essential thing you should pack before hitting the road is drinking water. Be sure to stock enough amount of drinking water before you hit the road. Whenever you stop by a supermarket or a grocery store during the trip, you must refill your water stock at the first place. Additionally, make sure to pack snacks for kids who get hungry (and crabby) often.
2. A sufficient first aid kit
No matter whether you have kids or not, a first aid box is an obvious item you should include in your road trip checklist. A first aid box might become incredibly handy to cure minor cuts and bruises that might occur during the road trip.
3. A good mosquito repellent
You shouldn’t let mosquitoes ruin your long waited road trip. So, you must make sure that you pack a good mosquito repellent before you hit the road. As of today, there are plenty of mosquito repellent products with different designs.
4. A portable cooler
A portable cooling chest can be a great value addition to your road trip. Such product can keep your drinks and snacks cool during the hot summer days. As of today, there is no shortage of options to consider when it comes to coolers. However, it is better to select a cooler that can keep your food and drinks cold for at least 12 hours.
After all, you and your family members aren’t going to sit inside the car during the entire road trip. Therefore, each of them must have a quality pair of comfy and durable shoes in their suitcase. These sneakers can help them waking outdoors comfortably and safely.
6. A car seat organizer
Depending on the amount of items you have to carry, sometimes, you may have to buy more than one car seat organizer. These organizers can make your car a more organized, tidier place. A good car seat organizer can hold various items ranging from your Tablet PCs to water bottles.
7. Hand sanitizer
No matter whether you have kids or not, hand sanitizers are a must have when you go on a road trip. These organizers can make your car a more organized, tidier place. A good car seat organizer can hold various items ranging from your Tablet PCs to water bottles.
On top of the above list, you must get a reliable GPS device ready no matter how well you are familiar with the route. Such device can leave the guess work out of the picture.
I’m curious where everyone is going this summer and if there is anything special you have to pack before travel! Please feel free to comment below to share your experience!
