My Favorite Love Quotes

Estimated Reading Time: 3 Minutes

I am an extremely corny person when it comes to love.

And not just the love between two people in love, I’m also corny about the love I have for my children, for my family.

Because of love’s complexity, it is hard to define love in words. However, I always find that quotes on love help express little tidbits of love in ways that I wouldn’t be able to express otherwise.

Here Are My Favorite Quotes on Love:

“Absence is to love as wind is to fire; it extinguishes the small and en kindles the great.”   Comte de Bussy-Rabutin

“It takes two to tangle.”  -unknown

“One who marries for love alone will have bad days but good nights.” Egyptian

“I don’t remember who said this, but there really are places in the heart you don’t even know exist until you love a child.” ― Anne Lamott

“Your children are the greatest gift God will give to you, and their souls the heaviest responsibility He will place in your hands. Take time with them, teach them to have faith in God. Be a person in whom they can have faith. When you are old, nothing else you’ve done will have mattered as much.”  ― Lisa Wingate

“What it’s like to be a parent: It’s one of the hardest things you’ll ever do but in exchange it teaches you the meaning of unconditional love.” ― Nicholas Sparks

“A mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.” – Agatha Christie

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”  –1 Corinthians 13:4-5
